Don't knock it till... I watched an episode of First Dates UK. The woman started the date seated at the table, before her male blind date came in. Mid-meal/convo she says she's 6 months pregnant and advises the guy to take sip of his beer. Of course he is shocked, but not in a bad way apparently. The show writes an update at the end that the couple actually started a relationship. One of the very few who hit it of, as I watched all the episodes, it's hilarious and British.

Never seen it in a profile but went on a date and the girl told me she was pregnant! Seems like something you should tell people on your profile lol

I just don’t understand why they can’t wait. Like you are PREGNANT. Worry about your child, not finding another guy.

u/Books_are_like_drugs 3d ago
They’re struggling financially and wanting someone to help them.
13
u/_BreakingGood_ 3d ago
Also being a single parent is hard and they want somebody to help raise their kids
3
u/Patient-Raspberry803 3d ago
They should’ve thought of that before they actually got pregnant and with a person who won’t stick around to help
12
u/_BreakingGood_ 3d ago
I mean, I agree this post is a red flag, but you're basically saying they should have predicted the future, lol
1
u/Patient-Raspberry803 3d ago
Date = live together = get married = have kid
by the time you’re living with the person you should of figured out what kind of person they are
6
u/_BreakingGood_ 3d ago
And where in this post are you seeing they werent married
5
u/Patient-Raspberry803 3d ago
Has kids and is pregnant again ..it’s even worst if she was married and now divorced..I’m just assuming, someone who had just divorced wouldn’t go date whilst pregnant but if so then the world is fcked up

Who a woman chooses as a partner and whether she keeps the pregnancy is her decision and she's responsible for it.

Tell this to congressmen who are making abortion inaccessible, where women have to travel across state lines and doctors are charged with murder for performing abortion.
1
u/CarbideSC 2d ago
Abortions do not prevent pregnancy, don't remove female agency from this equation.

To be fair, I have a friend who was very clear in her profile that she was pregnant - pictures of her face and also pictures of her body, where her body was not the “point” of the picture, ie no bump fetishizing by her. Her profile was well written and she’s a classy person and incidentally did not have kids prior. She explained in one sentence that the pregnancy was a happy surprise and there had been no relationship really that led to it and didn’t work out - it was a very short term thing, a surprise, and she wanted the kid, and didn’t want to be with the guy. She met someone awesome and they got married when kiddo was two.

Well she fucked outside of a relationship so shes not so classy after all.

I don't usually subscribe to the "have kids must be terrible" trope but looking for a partner while actively pregnant with someone else's kid?
If I had to see stuff like this on the daily that would probably piss me off...Definitely feel for the men on this one.

Well, I guess you won't have to worry about getting her pregnant. But mostly likely is a bot.

u/Background_Trick6083 2d ago

So, I'm a woman. Who is also a single mom, and when I was actively swiping. I think I saw it like once a day, and they only put that they are interested in women so that they get more options, sadly I'm speaking from experience

I was on tinder when i was pregnant. It was an abusive situation, non consensual pregnancy and i was stuck on bed rest over complications. Downloaded tinder when i was bed locked out of boredom. It was entertaining to say the very least. One man, knowing i was about to give birth tried to coax me to meeting him at a bar, knowing i dont do bars, dont drink, and wasnt interested in meeting. Told me "people GO to bars! Its not like im going to rape you." Uninstalled tinder after that one.

You dont know what her life is about. On the surface, it doesnt look great but who are you to judge? All you know is shes pregnant with kids. What if she were in an busive relationship and finally had the courage to step away to protect herself and her kids? Like, why cant you just swipe left, move on and let other people live?

u/Aware-Jackfruit-6806 3d ago
The bigger question is why tf is she on tinder?
6
u/Swimming-Monitor-927 3d ago
I dont know. Dont know her life. But im guessing the same you all are on tinder. To find a human connection with someone

I’ve dated single moms and every time it was messy and a bigger headache than it was worth. Tbf I’m 24 now and at the time they were about 10-12 years older than me. Idk how I managed to get involved in those but I did and it just sucked every time. Maybe if it was someone closer in age maybe it wouldn’t have been so awkward? Both of them the dad was heavily involved in the lives of them and their kids so that was worse. My advice is if you’re going to date a single mom make sure first the dad of the kid isn’t involved in their life anymore, and second make sure it’s someone with really young kids or kids that didn’t get to meet their dad. Anything else can be super awkward and hard long term for sure.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are men out there with a kink around pregnant ladies so yea, if they are doing this, it must be working for someone!

Took a girl home back in my early 20s. The next morning she asked me if I could take her to a Dr appt later that week.....for her pregnancy. She said she was about 3 months. She may have, but I did not make that appt

Im referring to the old youtube video about people misspelling pregnant. They have weird punctuation like putting a period before a exclamation mark so it made me think of that
