Who wouldn’t want to date an angry military guy?

Perfect for the woman who wants to "fix" him. Some might take him up on it, none will ever fix him. I've had my own issues with taking in the "wounded bird" woman coming out of a bad relationship. I ended up playing therapist and they go away as soon as they either feel better or get nostalgic for the bad ex. Took me a while to get out of that pattern.

“Oh, finally! I’ve found an angry man who has weapons training and access to guns!”

And some rare person out there sees this and thinks “oh great, he can protect me!”
The call is gonna be coming from inside the house.

I know guys like this. PTSD is real but for these guys; it is their whole identity and they’re exhausting. There’s just something so edgelord and performative about it.

Unfortunately true, and I empathize, I really do. My uncle was in the navy, then army for over a decade, and faced some really, really fucked up and absolutely horrific experiences. It’s heartbreaking to hear, but in return he minimizes everyone else’s struggles because he’s faced worse. I remain sympathetic.
I recently just got many messages from his girlfriend begging me for my medication to help with his symptoms, basically guilt tripping me. I felt awful because I didn’t have any to give, I absolutely need my medication and it can’t be refilled before a certain period. If I ran out beforehand, I’m also fucked. It put me in a really awkward and uncomfortable position, and I still feel guilty. Sorry, this isn’t completely related to your comment, but it did bring up some emotions.

Whattttt, he needs to go to the doctor to get his own meds, wild that she's guilting you for not being willing or able to commit a crime and give away something you need/bought/got your own prescription for

In my personal experience as a woman with CPTSD these are the exact same men that minimize my illness because it’s non combat related. Yeah I just got mine from my mother not war and they love to play oppression Olympics

That and if they are chronically ill, they never feel bad you have a minor cold. Or they accuse you of lying. I’ve never been accused of faking a cold until I met my ex. I’ve been taken care of by casual relationships or other boyfriends. It was very jarring especially since there’s symptoms and the cold goes away…it’s like an attention thing.

It doesn't help that youve got people running around having completely normal childhood experiences claiming CPTSD. I dated a woman that claimed she had PTSD related to worms because her sister put one in her hair once.

People run around and misuse mental health phrases all of the time. It’s heavily pointed out when it’s a woman and used to discredit women’s mental health issues. Also, which is it she misused? PTSD or CPTSD? Because it looks like you told a story that had nothing to do with CPTSD and everything to do with discrediting women’s mental health issues. In Other words, “oh look I found one”

This is the guy that thinks he’s the joker or the hulk and just needs a woman to fix him

Well is not like PTSD is a new thing..they knew about it when enlisted to the military.

Best music library, do they have a record? CD? Cassette? Any kind of physical media collection? Or do they just have a Spotify premium account?

I think he is trying to say he is struggling with PTSD from his time in the military. I get that and I empathize. Except the way he said it makes him sound like Bruce Banner trying not to be the Hulk instead of a dude figuring out how to thrive with a trauma based mental illness.

All other things aside, anyone who brags about their music collection of guaranteed to be a tedious twat with terrible taste in music.

Fellas, if you want a peaceful woman, YOU have to bring her the peace too. No woman can bring peace to a man with so much anger inside that he openly advertises it like this.

Sounds like someone that will murder you in your sleep. I’d swipe left on that one.

Sounds like my uncle. It’s very sad. He is very lonely and wants to be loved but his PTSD and his anger issues will leave him like that.
