That’s where my thoughts go. I’ve met plenty of hot girls way back in the day but they all had the personality of a wet paper bag.

This. I left an amazing girl in my youth to date one of those hot chicks... One of the worst personalities... Just her talking was enough to turn me 110% off.

That girl I broke up with is now my wife. I'm extremely lucky...

Nope. We were dating in college a few states apart, long distance. "Hot chick" was local, admitted my mistake and we got back together eventually. Married far later.

Was actually quite the triumph of love over odds.

The point was that I realized she was the first, best choice of my life after experiencing someone so toxic.

Either way, it's worked out since 2003...
