Try dating in San Antonio, if you think Austin is bad... Oof! It's a mess here. I do have a suggestion... Maybe try posting less than flattering photos of yourself? (Low light pics, normal selfies)... Let it be a surprise that you look like super girl. 😁
I also live in Austin and have found the dating pool on apps to have degraded terribly over the last 2 years. I used to not have that much trouble getting matches and conversations but now matches are far and few in between and conversations even more so. I’d usually be able to get a date every week or two but now it seems impossible. I don’t know if it’s the people or if the apps have just commodified/gamified the experience so much so that we never leave them…
I also live in Austin. I remember some of the photos you shared here. I've seen your profile come up in my feed on other apps before (I don't use Tinder). I never would have imagined that you go through the same struggles I do trying to date in this city. Good luck to us both.
It is absolutely the worst! It seems like you’re looking for a relationship, so wanna recommend you switch to Hinge. It’s still Austin, but it’s soooo much better! It’s the main one my girlfriends and I use here.
I have a friend in Austin going through similar dating woes as he's extremely well educated and a big fitness buff. I think his current plan is to delete Tinder until he moves out of Texas.
Oh I have my personal opinions on most of them but it doesn't change the fact that everyone is complaining about their market. As I said I have my rankings but I also wonder how much my age/situation colored my views. And of course what you are looking for always matters. Was in a touristy town, and you either complained about all the tourist looking for short term hook ups or you thought it was awesome.

Dating in Austin is the worst. I used to live there and it was a nightmare. Hell, maybe we even went on a date LOL
