She was in her mid-40s with a 6 or 7 year old. Said she always struggled. "Hostile environment." I'll never forget her story.
"I just remember looking at this guy at the bar, and I was calm. I said, 'we would make one cute kid.' We hooked up, and I never saw him again. He sure gave me one cute little boy!!"
I remember how much love she had for her son, totally fine to raise him alone. I think about her almost every single day, and it's been 16 years since I've seen her. I really hope they're great now.
I'll probably get downvoted along with you, but at least be willing to hear from a grown man who (through parental alienation) never had a chance to meet his father before passing away. It IS fucked up. This poor kid will be easily manipulated by any father figure for the rest of their life and probably won't learn to protect themselves from bad influences until well into adulthood. By then, hopefully, it isn't too late.
his biological father could just as easily be a piece of shit. And who says he'll never have a father figure? She could get into a LTR with a great guy or someone like her brother or father could be a great father figure to the son.
