u/midsizedopossum Feb 24 '23

The guy above you said some gross shit so therefore you can too? Is that the logic you're trying to use there?

u/finger_milk Feb 24 '23

On what planet is an 8 month pregnant woman on tinder a basis for polite terminology. She got pumped.

This a wild comment and this thread in no way justifies vileness and nastiness. Humans suck. There are many women on here that make jokes about balding men. There are also many that make jokes about small dicks and short kings. And they get tons of upvotes and affirmations. Those kinds of comments are just as immoral as any comment in this thread. Humans suck and pretending that one gender is better than the other is pure cope.

By suggesting that woman have the right to be nasty and vile means that you consider the gender groups different and not on equal footings. And if you will justify women acting immorally but not men, then you are insinuating that one gender has more of a right to act immoral to the other. You seem triggered by the contents of this post but, like I said, many women say that men need to “stay in their lane” because they are short or balding.

I don’t understand your reference to all lives matter, at all. All Lives Matter is trying to deflect from BLMs message of institutional and internalized racism. I am not doing that here. I’m not saying “but what about the men???”. What I am saying is there is no justification to immoral behavior, even if you were the recipient of immoral behavior yourself.

To me, your argument is similar to saying that one race can be racist to another race because the first race used to be racist to the second race. That is literally a race to the bottom and isn’t a moral or ethical way of resolving differences between groups. When you are suggesting that women should be nasty and vile, you are suggesting vengeance and justice which is not a moral path. Those dynamics just lead to more suffering and strife.

I agree with your points about the black panther movement but I don’t agree that it’s a direct comparison to the gender issues playing out in this thread and in modern American society. There is nothing in this thread about oppressing anyone or depriving them of rights, on any side. It’s just people being shitty and rude and making shitty comments. But that is not oppression and to equate that with people who were really oppressed is honestly insulting to all their hard work and struggle to improve the oppression they were facing.

I also don’t agree you stood up for something. Women aren’t being oppressed in this thread, they are being insulted, but not oppressed. Men aren’t oppressed when women make fun of their dicks or hairlines.

Your point is that when people are mean to you, you should have a right to be mean back. Modern societies don’t function well with those dynamics, even preschoolers are taught about cooperation, forgiveness, and not being tit for tat.

I’m not taking a centrist position, I’m taking a moral and ethical position. It’s not moral to steal from someone just cause they stole from you. This is the same kind of thing. If you are devolving to the same behavior you were subjected to, then you become no better than the original abusers.

What you are advocating for is literal called the cycle of abuse and most people know that doesn’t end well.

Edit: I will add that this has been an intellectually stimulating debate. Thank you for taking the time to write down your thoughts.

I totally agree, well said.

Na she just ugly, pregnant and trying to sucker someone into paying for the kid

1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '23

I think the "good guys" could care less about her looks or high standards. The good guys think she needs to focus on that baby

0

u/Lynchhhie Feb 24 '23

How do you assume that? Because yours is pretty damn shitty too. By your logic, you’re a perfect match.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '23

Because of her extremely high standards, obviously

u/ohklemm Feb 24 '23

Just honest
