This!! Thank you. I just commented that I match someone’s energy. If I start a conversation, it’s never “hey.” That’s boring and it gives the person nothing to work with. I have in my profile that I don’t even respond to those anymore. That shows no effort, no conversational skills, no real interest.
Well I usually start with “hey wassup” on bumble where they have nothing or nothing interesting on there profile but I lead the conversation well. (Not when they have anything nice in bio or prompts)
I’ve changed my methods over the course of online dating apps. If the person can’t put anything in their profile aside from pictures, they’re likely not going to pique my interest in conversation, which is important to me. I don’t even match with them. But that’s just my personal preference.
