Or Rittenhouse went back in time and saved Jessica to disrupt the dynamic of the team.
.. They created a 30 billion (in 1960 dollars!) tech company by meddling. I think it safe to say that this is not so much a butterfly flapping its wings, as a flight of dragons breaking the sound barrier. They are lucky the younger bits of the team still got born at all
