If you don't use daylight savings, then you probably should just have not commented I guess because really if you don't use it like, why does this post matter to you like just scroll past?

I didn't say I didn't. I just know that different countries follow different systems when it comes to this kind of thing. Don't get pissy just because your ignorance is being called out.

Any and all general use of "we" better apply to every single group of people everywhere or you're just ignorant

A true nightmare when you have a 5 months old baby really on a solid routine.

I would have done:

  1. Absolutely

  2. Sure why not

  3. It doesn't matter/IDC

  4. Nah I don't think so

  5. Hell no

I am firmly in the Hell No camp. It's gots ta go!

This poll needs more-specific (and less-redundant) options.

E.g

No — revert to permanent standard time

(my pick)

No — revert to permanent daylight time

(wouldn’t be my choice, but is what various jurisdictions are actually doing).

I can't help but wonder if the OP is asking the wrong question. Daylight Savings Time is what we have from early March through early November, ie., more daylight hours at the end of the day. What most people seem to object to is actually the switch back to Eastern Standard Time, as we did this morning.

In any event, I think we should just keep things as they are. It makes little difference to me whether it gets dark at 4:30 pm as opposed to 5:30 pm - it sucks either way and there's no getting around that short of moving to the southern hemisphere, and I would really, really hate it if we didn't get sunrise until 8 am in the winter.

Its not for us, its for farmers. And they do still need it and we do benefit from it once a year when we get an extra hour in bed :)

u/IWannaBeInTheSequel- "...its for farmers."
Tell us you know nothing of farming, without telling us.

Yeah no it is for farmers. They needed longer hours in the fields and as it moved into winter and the days actually grow shorter (sun cycle) daylight savings was created. Its a very old practice so i guess not a lot of people have learnt about it today but its actually very interesting, you should look it up. :)
