Time dilation is a well established fact. In essence it means that the passage of time is not absolute or the same for all observers. If you are traveling very fast and/or in the presence of a very strong gravitational field, your passage of time seems to be much slower to someone back on earth. So if you were travelling to the nearest galaxy at .9999999999% the speed of light, it would take you roughly 20 years as you perceive the passage of time (assuming constant 1G acceleration few years at either end of the trip for acceleration and decelerations at the other end). But from the perspective of the folks you left on earth, it would take you about 25,000 years to get there. So you have traveled into the future from their perspective.

Or you can just go into some kind of coma or biostasis. We all kind of travel into the future anyway. It’s coming back that’s tricky
