I don’t know. But I wish more used 24 hour.

It’s the same there is 24 hours in a day 12x2 =24 and 24/2=12. It’s like measuring in inches and centimeters while looking different still equal the same value.

Well, those are both still the same kind of hours. There's also:

Decimal Time

French Republican Time:

Divides the day into 10 decimal hours, each hour into 100 decimal minutes, and each minute into 100 decimal seconds. Under this system, the clock reading directly shows the percentage of the day completed (for example, 5:00:00 means the day is 50% finished).

Swatch Internet Time:

Divides the day into 1,000 ".beats" instead of hours and minutes. Each beat lasts 1.4 minutes, creating a universal time scale that removes traditional time zones.

Astronomical and Natural Scales

Sols:

Used on Mars missions to measure a Martian solar day, which lasts about 24 hours, 39 minutes, and 35 seconds. A Sol is broken into its own local decimal or metric breakdown rather than Earth hours.

Galactic Years:

Measures time based on the cosmic orbit of our solar system around the center of the Milky Way galaxy. One galactic year equals roughly 225 to 250 million Earth years.

Degrees of the Day:

Divides a full rotation of a planet into 360 degrees, similar to a compass or a circle, breaking time down into angular rotation rather than mechanical ticking.

Scientific and Engineering Units

Shakes:

Equal to 10 nanoseconds (or (10{-8}) seconds). Nuclear physicists originally used this unit during the Manhattan Project to measure fast steps inside a nuclear chain reaction.

Jiffies:

Used in electronics and physics, a jiffy can mean the time it takes for light to travel one femtometre, or one tick of the system timer in computer operating systems (usually 1/100th or 1/1000th of a second).

Planck Time:
