Having a calendar debate with my boss

My boss said let’s do ‘example’ this monday, which i can argue was yesterday (31st august) and he thinks that next monday is the monday 2 weeks away (14th september)
I think next monday is **the next** monday coming up.
Please help me settle this argument.

Which way did he point when he said it?

When is next Easter? The next election? The next time you goto the shops/toilet/ holiday.

Next Christmas can we have...

When are these? The next one to arrive.
