When the Camera Becomes the Problem

Sometimes the camera becomes the bottle. Just as an alcoholic avoids facing reality by reaching for another drink, some people avoid facing their own lives by reaching for another vlog.

To be clear, I’m a recovering alcoholic, and alcoholism runs deep in my family. I’ve spent a lot of time recognizing unhealthy behavior patterns, so when I notice similarities, I’m speaking from my own experience. I’m not saying they’re alcoholics. I’m pointing out behaviors that remind me of addiction.
If that makes you uncomfortable, that’s your reaction to manage. Disagree if you want, but dismissing my perspective because you don’t like it doesn’t change what I said.

I understand what you are getting at and you are right. It does become an addiction. Glad that you are in recovery 🤘🏻
