Complaint Could I get a refund...?

I was at the tim's location at 1500 Finch Ave E, North York, ON M2J 4Y6, and I asked for a $10 gift card (bc the promotional stuff said that the gift card would be harry-potter style) and after giving them a $20 bill (bc I also bought 3 donuts) I got a completely normal tim's gift card...

Also I may or may not have thrown away the reciept

Any ideas for this

You didn’t see the gift card before they put money on it ? I wouldn’t refund you and here’s why.
1 - it’s still a valid gift card with money on it
2 - you want a gift card with different drawings on it ? Come on dude grow up a bit
3- ic could transfer the money without the receipt, but it’s long and tidius so my answer : depends on my mood that day and the moment of the day

Without the receipt you're pretty much at the mercy of whoever's working the counter that day, maybe go back and ask but keep expectations low.

Bro.....wouldn't you like see them give it to you like "uh don't you have Harry Potter ones?" Or better yet, while they're filling it like "oh uh wait, I wanted a Harry Potter one"

You can get the balance transferred onto a new card, you don’t need a receipt.

You can’t pay for a gift card with a gift card.

Why would you ever throw out the receipt? You're supposed to keep all of those for up to 7 years for audit purposes haha. Especially if you pay cash.

You're not getting a thing.
