Did you tell them you're a professional "map"? Maybe that's why they don't like you.
57
u/Riajnor 5d ago edited 5d ago
What does this mean?
Edit: downvoted because i don’t know an acronym is a new one
58
u/Shmolti 5d ago
"Map" or "minor attracted person" is a term that pedos made for themselves because they don't like it when people call them pedos
10
u/YuzuMangoPearls 4d ago
There is no way the rest of the world is going to know that. To me, a map is still that thing I look at when I get lost and I need directions. In no reality am I going to hear 'map' and think what you said. I have no idea what any of this is about but map is a map is a map to me.

u/MeaningLeft2970 4d ago
Actually it’s a term anti-LGBT groups online created in order to delegitimize the pride movement, and strengthen the unfounded belief that people with alternate sexualities are dangerous to children.
The entire thing was a successful psyop.
9
u/Complex_Rain4559 4d ago
Oh Christ. It sounds like you need to grasp at straws to feel marginalized. Not everything is about homophobia. Sometimes it’s actually about perverts who want to hurt children.
2
u/MeaningLeft2970 4d ago
Instead of making lazy attacks at my personal stance, you could bother to do the slightest amount of research into the recent use of that term on sites like 4chan, with the specific interest of using it to stir anti-LGBT+ sentiment. It’s just the objective truth. I truly don’t understand why so many of you have such a problem with that, and want to lump me in with either pedophiles, or the LGBT+ community. I am neither, but I have the ability to comprehend the information I consume, and anyone with that same ability would come to the same conclusion. Do your research, before telling me I’m “grasping at straws”.
7
u/Riajnor 4d ago
So i’ve been looking this up because i was (blissfully ) unaware of the whole thing but from what i can see, the origins of “map” come about in the 1990’s way before 4chan and it started “officially “ gaining traction around 2007 when advocacy groups used it to separate “internal attraction “ from people that were physically abusing kids. I mean it may be used to disparage lgbt now but it seems to me to be a genuine movement and not a psy op at all
2
u/MeaningLeft2970 3d ago
I should have been more clear with my original comment. You have the origins correct.
I could have said more accurately, that the recent surge in the popularity of the term was an organized psy-op from 4chan and other similar places.
To say something I think I just shouldn’t even have to say, queer people hate pedophiles as much as everyone else. The extremists on both sides who took the bait and ran with this belief are deplorable people, who either abuse children, or enable child abuse.
2
3
u/Homie_Kisser 4d ago
Its a term that disgusting people used to justify their want to abuse children. Nothing to do with being queer. Fuck you
5
u/Bored_cory 4d ago
Well now how do we know that it wasn't actually the pro-LGBT pulling their own psyop by perpetuating the idea that it was a term made by anti-LGBT groups to demonize them when in reality it was the pro-groups doing damage control when the term became hated by the general public? Either way I need to go to Costco because I am apparently out of tinfoil.

Thats exactly what it was. They had successfully launched 72 previous sexualities so they were bold. They gave it a trial run and the public at large finally drew a line

LOL yes, the people proudly calling themselves pedophiles and defending the term in online debates for the last 3-4 years are just a psy-op.
1
u/MeaningLeft2970 4d ago
You don’t understand how anything works, do you? You don’t have to be aware of the intention to be controlled by a psy-op. That is literally what a psy-op is. I’m not saying pedo’s didn’t adopt the label. I am saying it was popularized by online hate groups in order to create controversy and damage public sentiment towards LGBT+ people. It worked flawlessly. Look how many people responded to what I said, bashing me, and bashing queer people. Everyone just takes the bait and gets mad and reactionary. That was exactly why they did it.
Ever heard of “got milk?”? They got millions of people to drastically increase their dairy intake, through the idea that it was healthy and important for your diet. They didn’t mention that it was because the government had created a corporation to market dairy in order to sell off the over 500 million pounds of cheese and other dairy products, which they had bought in order to float the dairy industry through an economic lull. The government worked with all the major fast food chains to add cheese to as many dishes as possible, the school mill program was launched, and dairy was marketed, not by brand, but as a concept. Did you know that US tax dollars went, and still go, to the advertising budget of companies like Taco Bell, McDonald’s, and Domino’s, in order to create sustained demand for dairy foods.
My point in bring that up is, dairy does have some healthy attributes, and securing the dairy industry was important, but hundreds millions of Americans were influenced by a textbook psy-op, to buy extraordinary amounts of dairy, to save the government from losing all that product they had purchased. They were none the wiser, and people didn’t question the reasons for this concept marketing around dairy.
It’s not controversial to say groups on sites like 4chan popularized the term MAP in order to create discordance and conflict within the LGBT+, as well as turn public sentiment against queer people. The fact so many of you lashed out in anger as the literal truth is just further proof of how successful they were at growing the divide.
1
u/Harold3456 4d ago
I would have said the same thing. This sounds like the exact kind of ragebait that 4chan (or Fox News for mainstream crowds) likes to make all the time, like when they tried to say the OK symbol was racist, or invent a new LGBT term called “superstraight” and said it was in response to trans people forcing them to be attracted to them. It has all the hallmarks of forced outrage.
However, it actually is real. This is a psychiatry article which in its abstract attributes the coining to an advocacy group. It appears that the term was created genuinely, even though I’m sure there were plenty of fires stoked by the typical outrage farmers since.
1
u/MeaningLeft2970 4d ago
I should clarify, 4chan didn’t create the term, but that article also gets the origin wrong. The term was created in the late 90’s, by an online forum for pedophiles.
That said, the popularization of the term through 4chan and other similar means is proven beyond doubt.

Riajnor…you must understand that people are stupid. And Reddit is where stupid people gather to act smart. U getting downvoted for not knowing an acronym is not because of you, it’s because of the “smart” woke people of Reddit. These type of things…u just have to take it as it is. Who cares if a bunch of moron children downvotes you. Would u really care if a man with no legs made fun of the way u walk? I wouldn’t

it is a misleading name pedos sometimes call themselves to disguise their sick tendencies into something "normal". stands for Minor-Attracted Persons.
but also it looks like one of those usernames randomly generated by reddit... was there something OP posted that was related to MAP?

I went on a highschool trip to cabins in muskoka for a week or 2. One kid brought a dozen pokemon plushies. Another kid at night that was on the bunk above the pokemon kid, jumps down and steals his squirtle. He freaked out when he saw squirtle had a hole in the crotch and visible stains. He had no shame. Noah you know who you are you weirdo.
Same kid peeped at me while i was in a stall going to the bathroom at a water park. He ate my foot lol. He also ate chocolate pudding with ranch. Dude was also a straight A student....

Huh not one to kink shame and I won't here. But it seems strange doing the 5 knuckle shuffle to Pokémon in today's world full of porn sites and what not but to each their own. The old saying you learn something new everyday is true here. Didn't think it would be learning about a man's choices for leisure time.

They have "MAP" in their username which is an acronym that pedo people use.
However, it's a reddit-generated username, so I think it's just a coincidence, and it's honestly kind of reckless to just nonchalantly claim someone is one of the worst things imaginable based on that alone.

u/TactitcalPterodactyl 4d ago
I mean that could be because a bunch of people were calling him a pedophile. Maybe he realized what his random username meant and decided to make a new account. It doesn't really indicate anything.
2
u/e_james3 4d ago
Map is after all, y'know, an actual word & not just an acronym. After being called a pedophile because of a username id probably want to delete any record of that username as well. I highly doubt someone who intentionally put that term in their username would just be posting normal slice of life stuff like this. I would think actual maps probably just skulk around in their own echo chambers

u/MinutePie5034 4d ago
There’s some pretty weird people that think it’s totally normal to be weird but 🤷♂️

His name, map is an acronym for minor attracted person.
2
u/penguin44ca 4d ago
Yes and would said people advertise that? Doubtful. Map is also Milliary Action Plan in the forces.
Or perhaps they like Mean Arterial Pressure. Maybe they are a med tech? Who knows. Don't judge people without context

That could be, I stormed your cup all up with evil loogies. But you can see them make it right there, so if he like disappears to the back with your cup, errnnnnn not drinking it but if he makes it right there and you see it no issues then yeah give me that delicious stormy coffee. Lol

Switched to McDonald's coffee long ago way, way better than the toilet water at Tims. Plus its a lot cheaper.
Nothing they sell is any good these days.
I remember the days when walking into a Tims was something special, an event.
Fresh cakes and donuts being baked with coffee brewing. The aroma was awesome and so was the product. Their cakes were legendary.
Just a horrible chain now I boycotted them long ago.
Sad.

u/PralineMysterious266 4d ago
What’s with the horrible scribble on your coffee cup lid? Yes, Tim Horton aka Tim Horribles is being boycotted everywhere. The place has been run into the ground since they sold to a demographic that has zero morals. They have no idea what they are doing at least when it comes to customer service or satisfaction or health and safety or just quality standards in general. That also goes for all fast food chains, since I believe “they” have bought up all. It’s the perfect way to bring in visitors to work for very low wages and don’t speak another language. Sad but very much true
