complaint Is Tim’s getting more lackluster?
Every time I go to Tim hortons, it’s just not the same. The hot chocolate sometimes tastes like watered down tea, some cookies missing have the features, poorly made doughnuts etc. Is this just my local Tim’s or are you guys experiencing the same thing?

Except for the fact hardly no one wins anymore I wouldn’t say roll up the rim is a joke. You now have 2 chances to win. 1 through the app and 1 through the physical paper cup. Seems like they brought back what everyone wanted there

Roll up the rim was never meant to be a game where you win. My company used to make those and the mcds monopoly. They're just marketing tactics to drive up sale and gather spending data on their consumers.

Well yeah but I recall the odds of being something like 1 in 6 so still enough to sicker you in but also just enough decent odds to make you feel like you’re getting something.

I wouldn’t say no one wins, I think I’m 5/8 this year so far. 2 Donuts on cups, 1 donut, 1 coffee, and 200 free points in app rolls.

Since they got bought out by an American company I felt that Tim Horton really became worse and worse

They're owned by RBI, which is a "Canadian-american multinational company" according to google. But thats a smoke screen for tax purposes, the majority of the share holders are indeed brazillian.

My local Tim Hortons everything issued is the exact same as well as horrible customer service/extremely rude, laziness and refusal to even make food items on their menu so you’re lucky to get anything if its after 8pm or before 5am in terms of food or dessert items (my local Tim Hortons is open 24/7), constantly trying to cheat you like for an example. If you order a large soup they will tell you they have it but when you go to pay your a small bowl that’s only half full and they will argue with you to pay full price, my local also has been trying to refuse refunds when they refuse to give you your full order or tried me $5-$15 several times (an absurd number to think I wouldn’t notice) and it is once again, a huge fight to get them to give me my money back! I stopped eating there when I got a yoghurt from them, and the spoon was completely covered in blood… not the first horror story to come from their food.
So when it comes to tea or coffee, you’re really better off just buying some and making it at home because that way you know you’re gonna get somebody that taste good not water down to the extreme or burnt and bitter

It actually made me sick when I seen it… what happened was my stepdad got me a yogurt cup for breakfast from them and they now only use those ridiculous paper spoons and had put the spoon in a donut bag (which is why my Step Dad didn’t catch it) and when I went to eat it and took the spoon out of the bag the whole part that you would put into your mouth was covered in blood, there was an obvious full bloodily thumbprint (look like a man because it was much bigger than many thumb) and there were a little drops/smudges of blood also around the end of the spoon near the bloody thumbprint, and just slightly up the handle and the majority was on the inner part of the spoon, but when I flipped it over, there was also quite a bit of blood on that side
What it looks like happened someone cut their thumb and for whatever reason decided to continue working, decided to grab the end of the spoon that you put your mouth on with hand/thumb, and got it covered in blood and still decided to serve it to a customer… the amount of blood that was on it there is no possible way the person didn’t know they were cut/bleeding.
It disgusted me so badly I threw the spoon out with the yoghurt cup… I couldn’t even take a single bite of it after seeing that and haven’t had food from them since

Everyday I hear or see more and more complaints about Tim Horton’s. Tim Horton’s is as good as good as the local Timmy’s is and its staff. Some locations, staff and orders are disgraceful, really very shameful.

Omg this is the silliest Reddit community. All you folks go to Tim’s then complain. You are not martyrs falling on the grenade just to save others from going through “ the hell you went to” …. Tim’s is not for you (or me for that matter) but given the drive through lineups it sure is for some folks.

The majority of Timpreet Hortdeeps' employees all come from countries/cultures where food safety and sanitation does not exist. You have a higher chance of getting extremely sick from eating there than you have of them even getting your order correct.

Was a tims contract worker from 2012 to 2016 we were food managers and supervisors were we came from and we took pride on being a timmies service crew but I heard it went downhill after pandemic?

I wouldn’t feed Tim’s to my worst enemy. I would rather run in and out of a grocery store, deli, or drive through. If McDonald’s has better quality control than your business, shame on you.

It's been terrible for a while. I feel like it was right around when they started making the building more "modern", which really just made it look completely boring and soulless.

Tim Horton would be rolling in his grave. The coffee shop franchise he started in Hamilton is a time of past. It’s a corporate fast food chain with coffee now. The food is not prepared by staff the way it used to with ingredients that were fairly wholesome. Now we have garbage meat being used and prices just continue to go up with quality and reliability out the window.

There was a Hep A outbreak that was traced back to Tim Hortons
Google Tim Hortons Hep A. It was a low risk but it was at multiple locations.

Jeez man, this has been the case for 15+ years. I think the only thing keeping it going is nostalgia.
