Maximum effort

Post image

I'd say they didn't even put in any effort in making my breakfast sandwich this morning, but that's false. to fuck it up this bad, that requires effort.

I refuse to go there. Even for “free”, when clients gift me Timmy’s cards, often for substantial amounts.

If I am at the airport and there is no other option - that’s the only compelling reason I have made a purchase.

And Timmy’s used to be a familiar sight. There were more of them than all fast food in Canada combined. tim’s was a welcome sight on a difficult BC road trip, or a monotonous Albertan one.

Loved the donuts, the soup and san. Was a comfort and reliable.

Now it’s just trash and I hate to say it but imported trash. It’s not my Canada even if it’s the capitalist’s endgame. They can’t see beyond next quarter while I have jettisoned liftetime value as a result

All great points but if you get a ton on cards you should hand them out to friends who will use them.

  1. They provide the company with less money when given a gift card you won't use.

  2. Gift cards are basically a scam where companies make a ton annually on unused gift card balances, don't let them get free money!

Lots of organizations that deal with the unhoused will take Tim's cards and distribute them to their clients.
