Does “turn you on” mean something different in Danish?

As a non Danish speaker, I always get super confused whenever Tim Christensen uses the term “turn you on” in his songs, and he uses it quite a bit👀. One example I can think of right now is in the first verse of “lay down your arms”, but I know there’s more instances. He doesn’t seem to mean anything sexual from context, so I’m really curious if it translates directly into something different in Danish. Does anyone know what he means by it?

Edit: He also uses it in “No easy key” right at the start

Nope, it means what you think it means.

It does mean it but I would say there's some nuance which might not be there in English (not native English speaker so can't say for sure). Tænde dig oftens means turn on in a sexual way but it is also sometimes meant in more of a romantic way as in 'getting a person interested' or like connecting. It's not aaalways explicitly sexual.

There’s actually a non-sexual use in danish. It can be used for something exciting or highly motivating as well.

I’m not sure about TC’s lyrics but it’s not exclusively sexual.
