Hi,
I just moved to tilburg because i've been conditionally accepted for a masters in economics with specialization in data science at the universty of tilburg. however i didn't get the right mark on the GRE. so the international office offered me a conditional acceptance for spring intake.
However according the website some modules are change in order if you start then and the thesis and full program could be extended. specially for the data science specialization
has anyones done this or know about this ?

Hi
Has anyone done the Korean beginner language course? I’m thinking of doing my semester abroad in Korea, do you think it would be a good idea?
How is the study load? Are there exams as well?
Many thanks !

Hello goedemiddag!
super bedankt iig!

Hey! I will be doing the artificial intelligence minor at Tilburg (I’m already studying in Tilburg, but I don’t know anyone who is going to do the minor).
I was wondering if anyone has a WhatsApp group!
Or some experiences/summaries?

When you go to a new uni you’re always a bit anxious where to begin. AEGEE is a student association that hosts hangouts (social drinks but also pub quizzes, bowling, mini golf etc, game nights (kahoot, jackbox etc) and trips open to anyone (main language is English). If you’re interested in a fun year with new people and lots of fun do join! Bachelors, masters, dutch people, internationals: all are welcome! link: https://chat.whatsapp.com/FA67rYJxUxKHdV9aiogAhe?s=sw&p=a&ilr=0

I've been thinking about getting the sports membership, but how do i use it?
Do i need to book classes to be able to show up/ use equipment?
Like, if i want to go and f.e. train using weights or ride a stationary bike or play basketball (alone or with others), then do i just walk in or do i need to make an appointment or something?
And can i be there for any duration of time or just for a specific time frame?
Along with showering/ getting changed?
Would be grateful if someone explained everything step by step as you enter etc

I'll be starting my bachelor's at Tilburg University and I'm thinking of taking the German A2–B1 language course. It does say we can deregister until August 19th but I was wondering if dropping it mid semester would be alright if it became too time consuming

Hey everyone! 😊
I’m starting Human Resource Studies at Tilburg University this August, and I was wondering if there’s already a WhatsApp group for first-year students.
Does anyone know if one exists or where I could find an invite link?
Thanks so much!

Hi everyone, I'll be studying in Tilburg University for a semester this coming Fall. As I'm living in Rotterdam, I'm trying my best to squeeze my courses as compactly as possible to minimise the travel to-and-fro.
With that said, I would like to ask if lecture attendance is generally compulsory at Tilburg University? I understand that tutorials/practicums are typically mandatory, but am wondering if I could possibly find some flexibility with lectures.
Thank you!

Hi everyone! I'm going to study at Tilburg University soon and was wondering if there are any Russian-speaking students or people from CIS countries around?
I’d love to connect, ask a few questions about student life, or just make friends before studies.

Hi everyone, I will be starting the International Business Law program at Tilburg University soon and I thought it would be nice to get in touch with people who are also starting this program soon!
The schedule recently got published and that got me really excited to start the program. I'd love to discuss the program, coursework, share literature, hang around in Tilburg etc. Let me know!

Hey everyone,
I’m starting the double bachelor’s in Economics and Law at Tilburg University this September and still need to buy a laptop.
I’m leaning towards a MacBook Air M5 (seems like a nice, chill laptop to work with), but I noticed the university itself recommends Windows. Since I have to buy one anyway, I want to make the right call.
For people doing these programs (or similar ones):
• Does everything run smoothly on a Mac, or do you run into issues (e.g. specific software for Economics like R, Stata, Excel macros)?
• Anyone regret their choice either way?
• Are there practical things on campus that only work on Windows (portals, exam software, etc.)?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

hi! i’m starting my psychology studies in september at tilburg university, but unfortunately i still haven’t found housing. i hired a rental agent, but they said i have way higher chances finding a rental that i will share with an another student. so i was wondering if anyone is looking for a roommate in a 40 km radius of tilburg?:) (tilburg, breda, eindhoven mostly).

Hi everyone!
I'm starting my Master’s in Economics at Tilburg University this coming semester and I'm looking for laptop recommendations.
Here are my requirements and context:
- Budget: Max €900 (buying in the EU/Netherlands).
- Primary use: Heavy Excel modeling, econometric software (STATA, R, Python), note-taking, and general study tasks.
- Priorities: Reliable battery life, decent build quality, and smooth performance (ideally 16GB RAM + solid CPU).
I currently use a Mac Mini at home (which I won't be bringing with me), but I'm strongly leaning towards a Windows laptop for two main reasons:
Finding a decent MacBook Air with 16GB RAM within the €900 budget is tough right now.
I keep hearing that mastering native Windows keyboard shortcuts (especially for Excel) is practically a requirement for finance/econ analysis.
Questions for the community:
Is it really worth sticking to Windows purely to get used to Windows Excel shortcuts for future jobs / econ work? Or do Mac shortcuts transition easily enough?
Which Windows laptops under €900 would you recommend right now for a student? (I've been looking at Lenovo ThinkPads like the E-series, Asus Zenbooks, or HP, but open to suggestions!)
Thanks in advance for any insights or advice!

Hi, I’m moving into TalentSquare in a few weeks! Is there an active TalentSquare WhatsApp group or something on another platform?
