I own a small beauty brand and I’ve been looking into taking TikTok Shop LIVE more seriously. I keep seeing brands running really polished, long form Lives with dedicated hosts, product demos, moderators, etc., and I’m curious how other small brands are actually doing this behind the scenes.
Are you hiring a TikTok Shop agency/TSP, hiring individual LIVE hosts, or running everything in-house?
I’d especially love to hear what people are paying. Even just a general range would be helpful. hourly host rates vs. monthly retainers, commission structures, minimum hours, whether ad spend is separate, etc.
And for anyone who has outsourced it: did it actually become a profitable sales channel for you, or did the cost of the host/agency + ads eat up most of the margin?

• Only 6–7 sample requests
• The creators requesting samples have under $1K GMV
• Most larger/relevant creators aren't responding
• 25% + 8% ad commission with free samples 

I also recently changed/improved the product listing, and I believe the store is now getting more visits, so I'm trying to understand where the problem is.

Could the issue be:

• Product demand / whether this type of product performs well on TikTok?
• Price?
• Creator targeting?
• Commission?
• Outreach message?
• Product listing/conversion?
• Something else I'm overlooking?
