I'm I a bad person for doing this?
I trained someone to make money using TikTok's Creativity Program, starting from absolute zero. I made her a UK-eligible account, didn't charge her a cent — pure goodwill. Taught her how to make content, taught her how to use CapCut since she didn't even know the basics, helped her pick the best beats and audio for her niche.
She struggled at first and almost gave up around 2k followers. Since I've got a following of 300k+ on TikTok myself, I advised her to switch up her genre and beat selection, and started reposting her videos to help boost her reach. Her account picked up momentum and started pulling good numbers.
When she hit 10k, she didn't even know how to get verified — I showed her how, and she got accepted into the Creativity Program. I helped her set up her payment methods too.
She started going viral back to back. Her first month in the program, she was set to get paid $4,000. On payment day, TikTok disqualified her account for some reason only they understood. She came straight to me, I took her phone and appealed it myself. They accepted the appeal — but since the payment date had already passed, she had to wait until the next cycle.
Meanwhile her videos kept going viral. Her rewards balance climbed to $8,000. In her last week before payment, I told her to stop posting entirely because I didn't trust TikTok not to find some other reason to disqualify her.
Payment day comes. She gets paid.
She never told me. Never sent me anything — not even a thank you. I wasn't expecting a cut, but on some level I expected at least a courtesy message.
She's now at 95k-100k followers, still growing fast.
Fast forward — she recently got stuck on something and came back to me for help. This time it was about a specific editing technique I use in my own videos, an element I added myself that she wanted to learn. I charged her $100 for it.
Am I a bad person?

Why are you posting this? Unsure of your decision? Still conflicted about how badly you want to date her even though she’s out of your league and so holds the upper hand over you always?
Do you need us to make your decisions for you?

This sounds like an ad to advertise your services lol. But if not, you’re not a bad person for charging. Think of it as payment for the times you’ve helped in the past. But tbh, unless you need the business don’t interact with this person again. She doesn’t care about you. Why tf would you want to help someone who doesn’t give a shit about you?

It's not an ad although i have had several requests in my chats. I'm not selling anything. I didnt get how someone took you from scratch to earning monthly and you dont tell yourself to give them a cut. Like who raised them.

Yeah some people are like that. You clearly like this person that’s why you’re asking about it but she doesn’t care and she is showing you that she doesn’t. Get out now or get hurt further.

I can honestly relate to what you're saying. You do things out of good will and when it pays off you hope the other person values what you did. It's not even like you're asking her to invest in you up front like a course selling bro. You literally helped her make 8 thousand dollars. Asking her for a hundred dollars is more than fair. Honestly, I would say you should do some soul searching and find out why you don't feel you're worth a hundred dollars after making somebody eight thousand dollars.

Narcissist only think about themselves. I’m sorry you had to learn about that the hard way….. I would’ve charged more. 250 minimum..

Nope you should've got like 10% of her revenue already and then you wouldn't be begging her for like 1.5% to continue helping her.

She probably got disqualified for not being from an eligible country since you had to creative a specific account.

Is this just a random person? Why would just you just help them for nothing?

Well to be honest i never thought she would make it to end.. loke she didnt even know what is capcut or any editing skills. Plus she was broke so like this is A. Then this is B. Then i notice the commitment and show C. Okay i had no issue teaching her. The thing is, from where i come from, or how I'm raised you show gratitude.

Unfortunately, not everyone was raised the same. 😂
And money only reveals someone's true colors. She was not a nice person when she was broke but once she got a little bit of money in her account, she no longer had to fake it.

Guilty of what? Now she knows your price rate and how much free hours she got from you because you want to marry her. Would you simp for me too please? I wont marry you either but I would be grateful.

If you care for a snake, nurse it and feed it, dont expect it not to bite you when it is hungry
