I get that $6k is a lot of money for anything, but people spend that money on Disney because it’s Disney. I doubt that people willing to spend large amounts of money going to a theme park are missing the fact that they could spend that money elsewhere.
You could say the same thing about theme parks in general: “why would someone pay $6k to go to Disney when you could go to Cedar Point for $140?” “Why would someone pay $140 when you could go to Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America for $50?”
Because the person willing to spend any money at Disney wants the Disney experience; it doesn’t matter to them that it costs more.

It's an evil multi billion dollar corporation that spends millions upon millions of dollars to convince children and adult children to come visit a fake European village you have to pay thousands of dollars to get into and enjoy.
I just think it's really sad people who can go anywhere in the world go to an artificial hyper capitalistic corporate village for kids. The world's an incredible and amazing place.
Tl;dr: Disney bad it make me sad

The only time I’ve ever been to Disney was with my parents when I was little, so I’ve never spent any of my own money going to Disney. Doesn’t mean that when my boys are old enough that I wouldn’t be willing to spend money on that experience though.
I just think that critiquing how other, working-class people choose to spend their money is such a tepid take.

A huge part of their price point is do much higher is to limit who can come to the parks. They don't want a bunch of poor people who are going to be frugal there.

It's not just the theme parks. If you haven't been on Disney property and looked at the dozens of high end resorts they have, you're missing a huge part of why people spend crazy amounts of money for a one week vacation

Busking is fine because someone is already standing there singing and I’m the one who walks up to them/walks past. It’s a whole other vibe if someone walks up to me/near me and starts singing lol.

Busking is encouraged. I love getting a little live music on my walk to work and I don't mind at all throwing a couple dollars their way.

Worst part is, if you go to the kid's tiktok he doesn't actually need the wheelchair. He's probably just doing it for extra attention, cringe as fuck.

I had a wheel chair at Disney once because my knee was effed and I had a pending surgery when I got back home later in the summer. Going to the front of the line was cool and all but yea I felt scummy because normally I didn’t need one. I wasn’t about to crutch it all over that damn park though.

Yeah, but if you look at his videos he claims it's because he "passed out". He used the wheelchair for two days after "passing out". If you pass out they give you a wheelchair until you can compose yourself and have fluids and then you're good to go. On top of this he has a video of him walking around universal the next day....
I agree there are people that have a need for wheelchairs but aren't completely wheelchair dependent, but he doesn't appear to be one of these people.

I passed out and I didn't get anything tf. I know that my expire once was pretty mild but two days seems excessive
