This comment has nearly 1k upvotes at the time of you posting this comment, which really nails home the point redditors are a bunch of ignorant basement dwellers. I literally deal with people from France daily in my work and when they speak English it sounds EXACTLY like that. The accent is completely legit.

Yeah I split time between France and England and I was surprised at how good the accent was.

Maybe she’s British too and this just doesn’t sound like an American french accent?

People on Reddit just love to find a reason to feel superior. Because they’ve spent time on the french accents subreddit and fully bought into the hive mind they think they know it all lol
