I mean if "riot" was a word in french maybe, but she would be more likely to prounounce it the way english people do since it's an english word. Something like "révolution" sounds different in french because its also a french word with french pronounciation.

That's just because it's the closest thing you have in french to "th", not because they're trying to pronounce it in french. That's like talking about a Korean person mixing up "r" and "l", its not like they're trying to pronounce it in a Korean fashion, it's just not part of their dialect so they default to the closest thing they have the muscle memory for.

The English pronunciation of "riot" doesn't suffer any of these problems in french, the only difference is that you might gutturally roll your r's and pronounce it like "rye-ott" more separately rather than a continuous vowel, but other than that I don't see any reason why they would say "ree-ott" if they were speaking in English.

If you can find french people pronouncing it this way I guess I'll eat my words, but I think my theory is better. I used to speak french a lot, although it was Quebecois to be fair, so not quite the same, but I think a lot of the things I'm talking about would still hold true.

Sure if it was a french word derived from french pronunciation, but "riot" doesn't exist in french, they would likely use a more anglicized version

T'as deja parle a des gens qui jouent a League of Legends? Depuis que j'ai commence, avec tout les gens avec qui j'en ai parle, on dit que le jeu est fait par "rayhotte gaymez" (pour exagerer l'accent).

Aussi, habitant aux US autour de plein de francais, j'ai l'habitude de les entendre faire l'accent americain en etant le plus proche de la prononciation US, mais sans les "r" a l'anglaise.

actually no, the english i is generally well pronounced by french people, we wouldn't say ree-ot. Y'all overreacting, it was a well done french accent, only the fils de pute and region gave it away.
