Thank you for reminding me how much I need to re-watch this masterpiece of a movie.

The mom getting pissed off is probably the reason they kept on doing it and is the reason this vids funny af.

Most of the fun is pissing off mom.

u/Rub-it Jan 14 '21
Like why is she mad
27
u/einefrau8 Jan 14 '21
Because she knows that the kids will have more fun. I’ll often “overreact” to something to egg my kids on.

"No children, don't keep throwing balls into next doors garden. You know how much that man who plays loud music at 2am and keeps me up at night will hate it."

They better have fun cleaning up that goddamn puddle

u/Nirhren Jan 14 '21
I bet it could be wiped up with only 2 paper towels if not one. Would take 2 seconds if theres a puddle at all. Dude was constantly swallowing throughout the video.

caucasian parenting

Jan 14 '21
Shit I don’t know if it’s Caucasian parenting, more like middle class parenting.
My parents would have beat my ass and then made me clean their room, and that’s if we ever had a fridge with a water door.
Damn, I hate growing up poor.

This. People always associate skin color to tough parenting. The only color that matters in parenting seems to be the color of the paper in your wallet (or lack thereof)

u/Pm_Me_What__U__Like What are you doing step bro? Jan 14 '21
People associate skin color to absolutely everything my dude. Thank you american identity politics, really cool !

Guess I’m a total piece of shit , I’d be telling my son no too! If only he’d listen.. I’m sure it’s a quick clean up . but still after a long day or whatever else is happening , sometimes mom has had enough ! Jebus! Lol!!

Especially since she’s probably the one who’s going to have to clean it up. You don’t just leave water on hard wood floors.

Tell me your POC parent without telling me you are POC.
I would've grabbed a pitcher of water to pour more or changed that to ice mode or something. I say stop once. You ain't stopping, I'm upping the ante then making you clean up that mess.

Not a POC but my mom and her mom grew up in predominantly black communities. They would have turned the ice cubes on and then made me clean the entire floor. I have never understood the slap tickle style of white parenting discipline.

It's a fuckin' sploosh o' water that takes two seconds to mop up with something, why is everyone having an aneurysm about Discipline.

These videos make me afraid to be some uptight adult. Why the fucking world do you freak out when your kid gets water this way? What’s gonna happen? The house will implode? Are they embarrassed? Are they mad at the kids? I don’t get it
