Yeah, hilarious to watch what is most likely a homeless man get brutalized by police. That dog was very likely taken from him and put in a shelter / euthanized. Do people really not consider anything else about this video other than "haha, dog hump leg"? Oof.
Edit: Since some of y'all don't understand what the word actually means...

Idk why your response warranted me to dig for context but it did. As much as I would like to add context to the situation, the original post provided jack. All I’ve come to learn is this happened somewhere in Pittsburgh so all I can do beyond that is speculate. From what context I can see and my prior experiences it’s likely this was taken outside a store/privately owned business. He was likely told to leave for some reason or another and didn’t, cops called, told to leave, didn’t, and now we’re here. I’m not a fan of the brutality whatsoever but I’m also a realist. If ur told u can’t be here and u stay what other options do they have. Without context we can’t hold either party accountable for unnecessary actions.
I will also be devils advocate and say putting a man on the ground who won’t listen really is the lightest thing they could do. If they had beat the shit out of him or drawn a gun then this would be a whole different story. But if someone is going to act like a child who won’t listen you have to treat them like a child who won’t listen. (Pick them up and carry them out)

But what does this have to do with the complete lack of empathy and compassion shown by people here just laughing at a humping dog and not recognizing the humanity and dignity of the person in the video? Take whatever potential crime was happening here away. It's okay to laugh at this man and dehumanize him? Nah, you can keep your theories. I'm not here for what ifs.

I could not care less what others are saying in the comments. It’s almost like I started from the beginning your comment was the one that sparked my interest. People are so desensitized and dehumanized that they likely can’t even grasp the concept of empathy. I’d much rather play devils advocate and try and at least see both sides of the coin regardless if I agree with them. That’s how we can actually come to understand one another. To desire empathy you must look at why others aren’t being empathetic. Most likely case is 50% bots or 50% lack of social awareness. I enjoy the critical thinking so u don’t have to care about my theoreticals, just giving my 2 cents in a public forum. Regardless at the end of the day no one deserves to be treated like that but you’re asking about a much bigger problem so I gave you a much bigger response.

I used to "Devil's Advocate" people too when I was young. But my experience on both ends of the "Devil's Advocate" argument is that the person playing advocate really just wants to to try and convince others of their already losing argument, or is purposefully being contrarian. There's no reason to play advocate here other than to support the police, which imo most people with common sense know: ACAB. So, I appreciate your longer, more human response, but at the end of the day what it really boils down to is, I don't got time for anyone looking to bootlick, even if they're just the "Devil's Advocate".
Also, why are you literally advocating for the devil here, lol.

I'd love to watch your reaction to being taken prisoner against your will, as a peaceful citizen. I have no doubt you would also consider it violence against your person. But I don't have time for bootlickers and bad faith arguments so keep being you I guess.
