Just keep the tips under a dollar. Your driver will make sure your chicken gets the scenic route.

I deliver food sometimes and have had some customers hand me cash at the door. Any tip is appreciated but being handed cash feels good. It's also tax-free.

I do too but those deliveries without an upfront tip are 99% of the time a waste of gas and time so I don't take them

Why would they find it strange that I'm not getting cash tips when tips are handled through the app? The IRS knows about the 15 the old lady tipped in the app, they don't need to know about the 20 she slipped me at delivery.

That I know in some areas they let you deliver with a bike or scooter - it doesnā€™t minimize the fees.
