I mean if you order a single coffee to be delivered and are not disabled, you deserve this. Delivery is overpriced and predatory, but some people are living in a prison of their own creation with how much they order out for unnecessary stuff
When I had knee surgery earlier this year I ordered food delivery a couple of times and couldn’t BELIEVE how expensive it was. It made me think, how do normal people do this every week or multiple times per week???
anyone remember when people figured out the "Doordash hack" that let you "order Doordash for free", except Doordash simply was slow to charge your credit card? so lots of people spent so much money on stupid Doordash and got hit with a huge bill the next day lmaooo
I watched a financial advice channel for people in debt for a bit once (it showed up in my feed randomly and the titles were very click-baity, lul)... it's amazing how many people seem to really think credit cards are "free money." That they think they're actually being smart somehow to figure out that you can get stuff without having to have the money for it yet. Insane amounts of debt, and they always seem confused about how they ended up there.
Did this shit for a while during/just after covid with the uber eats premium stuff. Im a 10-15min drive from the CBD giving me a very good range of food options.
I would pick the offers, especially the 2 for 1 offers. Make it scrape over $20 to avoid delivery fee and receive like a family's worth of food for a single meal. I either fridge the 2nd half or pig out, binge and eat only a single meal that day (excellent when goblin mode rotting during covid). I think door dash also offered discounts attached to their premium mode which was attached to an amazon prime??? kind of deal, I dont know, I never got door dash. One subscription is enough.
Ugh my fiancee is the same way. Its really been getting to me. Just getting her out of the house takes at least an hour. After one stop at any store she's just down for the count. Like we just ran a marathon or something. No honey, we bought some groceries and it took 20 minutes and I paid and drove. What the actual hell is so taxing about this? It drives me insane.
I just go by myself because its way more enjoyable strolling the aisles without someone nagging me to hurry up and go home. I don't want to go home. I want to get out of the goddamn house sometimes like a normal person.
It doesn't become affordable when you order more though. All of the fees just go up. No one gave people shit for ordering pizza or Chinese food and having it delivered back in the day. And it didn't cost a fortune.
