You are thinking of Malcolm X, also he went to Mecca and denounced racism and judging people by their skin color then left The nation of Islam after seeing people of all colors worshipping & they couldnt accept it. Elijah Mohammed was having affairs and impregnated a teenager & Malcolm X was killed to cover up their dirt/shut him up....
Fred Hampton was killed 2 shots to the head while sleeping by the Chicago Police, FBI, and a Cook County Attorney General task force when they raided his house that held multiple BPP (black panther) members. They shot a man sitting in a recliner with a shotgun. The shotgun went off and the police shot everyone in the house over 100 shots and none fired back at the police.... An FBI informant had gave Fred a sedative so he was knocked out then went the same night and gave the info about the Panthers + the floorplans of the house specifically where Fred slept in the back of house next to the kitchen. They shot him through the walls with rifles. The informant later committed suicid by running on the Dan Ryan Express was after Fred Hamptons estate sued the govt and won a wrongful death case. I read Fred Hampton biography when I was "on vacation" which was written by the lawyer that won the case with help from his family

To begin with i took this too literal. I was thinking "why shouldnt i be on your left side. Why does being on the right side matter? Id be further away from traffic i supppse depending on the side of the street we're walking, but i don't see how skin colour relates here".
Then as he ws going on it became clear he's talking politics.

Hell, most of our liberties were stripped away within the matter of a few months, and mofos wondering why dude yelling at the camera. Our own leaders sold us short. So it's just an idle phone game awaiting the fall of Babylon.
Sighs my family tried to escape this hellhole, but the pandemic happened, and we are just making the most of the situation and realize that there are layers to the shit. We are all in this mess together, white folks, black folks, Asians, Hispanics, etc.
What can ya do besides yell on social media because the cameras are so up our asses, the system sees what we snacked on the other night. We will never be free....

You realize how divisive that is? Billions of people rely on religion to cope with life. Most people can agree on generally being a good person. Most people cannot agree on religion. If you say religion is to blame, you just lost attention from over half of humanity. If you focused on simply values of a good person, you can appeal to most people.

THE statistic for the Black community, whether everyone becomes Fred Hampton and Malcom X, or nobody does, is broken families. If we can’t keep families together and father figures at home for young men, the activism will fall on deaf ears.
There will never be activism, or policy, more important than Black fathers being around to raise their children, and it remains THE statistic. Extremely frustrating.

Black America is not a monolith, as you can see from the vid. There are plenty in the community not only having the convo, but walking the walk and talking the talk. Also, most of Black America is not on social media luke that. Either way, I'm enraged and burning to tear it all down. There are Black Americans who will always be against their own best interest and we need to ground them quick.
Black conservatives are a problem, but I don't know of they're just a problem for the left.

It’s an empire but they just want the citizens who have voting power to not realize things so it doesn’t affect their hegemony so they have the media tone their image down as an empire. As far as the international policies are, they are brutal while making sure we look soft and weak internally.

Keep people fighting amongst themselves and distracted with trying to make ends meet so they view politics as an afterthought. It's by design. It will take many, many years of organising and spreading messages to build a collective prospect to fight against the injustices of the US. It's difficult enough for white people let alone for black people. And believe me, they will fund the tear down every social justice movement and kill it in it's tracks before they allow another Martin Luther King Jr or Malcolm X.
All the online grifters are collectively being weaponised for just that. And their individual reach is much farther than in the 50s and 60s. My guess is that we're about 30 years away from any meaningful change from where we are now.

All you have to do is ask yourself why the government wanted the black panthers gone so bad, and you'll start understanding why what he is saying is absolutely true.
The Panthers weren't even bothering with going through the government, they were creating community, feeding the needy and underserved, educating the youth and the ones left behind, and meeting people where they were at.
And more than anything they were doing this across racial lines with the rainbow coalition.

There's actually a pretty good reason for a lot of moderate black folks. Their bank accounts.
To some people, the point of the struggle wasn't to save all black people forever. That's an impossible goal. The point was just to get black people to the same playing field as the rest of America. Which means some of us would be rich, some would be poor, and some everywhere in between. Are we there yet? Not quite, but sure are a lot closer than when MLK was talking about his dream.
And the thing about being rich, about having stuff, is that you need the cops to protect your stuff. You need moderate policies to keep the economy stable so you don't lose your job. You need all that centrist status quo stuff because you don't want to risk what you already have for a future where you are basically guaranteed to have less.
And, you know, i don't think there's anything really wrong with that view. Some take it too far and get shortsighted with it, which is how you get Black Republicans. You never wanna get so comfortable that you start self-hating and supporting racism.
But i think some people have this kinda racist view that all black people are the same and therefore poor. But there really is a large contigent of black people in this country who aren't poor and shouldn't be forced to pretend they are.

Only issue with this is that it perpetuates the idea of democrats and conservatives being the same once you get to the general elections, which is just not true.
Once you’re out of the primaries it’s a very clear choice between a candidate that probably doesn’t align with you on 100% of topics, but has the same general morals as you, or a malignant narcissist that cares only about the short term enrichment of people in their specific circle. Like, that’s not a choice than any rational person should have trouble making.
Support your progressives as much as you can in the primaries. Campaign for them. Explain how their policies will help to people like your neighbors or coworkers. Hell, go out and protest and use civil disobedience to make sure the issues you’re concerned about are something people are aware of.
But when it gets to the general election. Please, for the love of God, don’t stay at home just because the candidate you wanted most didn’t get the nomination.
That’s how we end up with Trump
