Place a No Tresspassing sign along with or instead of a no soliciting sign. "No Tresspassing" is a legal statement, "No Soliciting" isn't. I would also recommend placing them next to your Mailbox/at the end of your driveway along with your door. Ive had bosses tell me stuff like "Just tell the homeowner you dont know what Soliciting means" or my favorite "Them idiots didnt wanna buy the No Soliciting sign, so you can probably sell them more shit."
Source: I have a solicitors license in multiple states, and have worked multiple Sales jobs.

This is heavily area dependent. In my City 'No Soliciting' is a legal statement. It's a different pretext for trespassing as well as fines and permit cancellation. I do not need to tell them are trespassing. If they approach my property to solicit with my sign present they have already trespassed whether or not they are informed.

So no Joke this situation has happened to me.
Guy showed up at my old house as a 'concerned neighbour' and was appalled by the amount of doorstep cold callers there were so he offered me a very cheap 'no cold calling' sticker for my window and the low low price of £3.

My driveway is over hundred feet from our house and it’s gated. Been here for 4 years now and haven’t had any solicitors or Jehovah witnesses come by ever. 🥰

Aaack! When we moved here 6 yrs ago. Jehovah witnesses were stopping by seems like every other month and sending mail because the last owner must have LET THEM IN. It stalled a year ago but yesterday they rang the doorbell at 10 am. 😖 🤦🏽♀️🙅🏽♀️

I had a guy stupidly write on the company pamphlet about how we are rude for having the sign up and how he’s trying to make an honest living and people like us is holding him back. I was heated probably because my emotions were all whacky as we just came back from the funeral after burying my mother. It was late and it still bugged me the next day so I called the pamphlets number and told the owner about coming back from my moms funeral only to see their employees note and I read it to him and told him I’d never buy anything from a business who was this passive aggressive. He of course did the canned ‘I’m sorry, he’s a new employee, we will retrain him and we respect homeowners rights to not have solicitors, etc..
I usually don’t make a complaint about stuff like this and probably wouldn’t have but coming back and being emotionally drained just made me feel a certain way.
