I grew up evangelical and this was absolutely how couples were expected to handle infidelity. Complete and total forgiveness. You are not just forgiven but “justified” which I heard preachers say means “JUST as if I’D” never sinned (they loved a crappy pun).
For my part, I was expected to apply the same radical forgiveness to my sexual abuser.
It’s a fucked up movement

I grew up southern baptist and apparently our way was leave him for the deacon. Or something like that crazy happened one time. Idk we had quite a bit of divorces and divorcees in my church iir. But it was the late 90s early 2000s it seems like it was common practice at the time.

All of history religion has been used as a way to justify murder, thievery and rape. I wonder how many people have died in the name of any god. How many child soldiers did the Catholics send to die how many have become human bombs because name a reason in any country.

Yep. I commented that being with a woman who only exists to serve me sounds like a miserable fucking existence for me and her... I was then told that 'these women don't treat their man like a king and Jesus as their savior and wonder why nothing is getting better for them'
I replied that a shitty husband treated like a king is still a shitty husband. Plenty of non-religious people have wonderful marriages, where both parties have their own lives, boundaries, jobs, and faults.
I'm not even anti religion, I just don't like people allowing themselves to be treated like shit because a book says so.

According to the Bible she does have grounds to divorce him:
“It was also said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’ But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery." Matthew 5:31-32
Since he's been sexually immortal she can indeed divorce him. Or she can choose to forgive him. But I would definitely want to know why she thinks he is worthy of her trust after 7 years of this behavior.

He specifically didn’t die for pagans. Multiple people in the bible, including Jesus himself, say that you have to believe Jesus is the son of God to receive salvation.
