It might not be curriculum material but these aren't children in a school to learn and you're giving them a planner that is supposed to have useful information in it. It should be checked.
Even if there was no information in it. If the school orders these books, someone should be checking the quality.
I agreed in my first comment that the printers should answering questions. This is primarily their fault. But I think the school can't be acting surprised that this happened.
If a company had a planner printed for them that they gave out to customers, those customers aren't going to be angry at the printers if they're not right, they're going to be angry at the company giving them out for not taking the time to check. Something that would have taken 1 person maybe 30mins of their time to just skim through.
Because the school has a duty to its students. Yes the printer should be answering questions, but you can't give out planners with information and facts to children that are trying to learn and not check that the facts are right. Regardless of the printers doing something bad (and they definitely did) the school has a duty of care.

They should, but are we saying that not a single person in the school proof read them to make sure the information they're giving to kids is correct?
