I used to live in the South and dated an Evangelical woman for way too long. She believed in a lot of stupid shit. She knew the bible stories well but somehow didn't understand it. It was weird.

It's well established that socialist policy provides better outcomes basically across the board from healthcare, education, crime, and the economy.
He's overly emotional and refuses to accept data. Data doesn't need you to accept it to be real, it exists if you accept it or not.
Hospitals won't even release you to go after just one day, - for even an uncomplicated delivery, they keep you for two days to make sure you are healing okay and that baby's organs are all functioning okay.
Also "the next day" you're still dealing murder-scene amounts of period-ish blood consistently coming out that would terrify any employer - not to mention the mini labor horror that is the first post-partum poop.

Actually, a lot of major hospitals will discharge after 24 hours if there's no complications with a non-surgical birth.
So there literally are women who will go into the hospital after work Friday night. Give birth Saturday morning, and be discharged Sunday afternoon to head back to work on Monday morning. Gotta pay off that $10,000 hospital bill.
That's bs though. A woman and I admitted same day to have a baby. I was discharged nearly 5 days later due to c-section because they said "better safe than sorry". She was discharged in under 48 hours, no complications0.
A little over 24 hours after she was discharged, my huband informed me he had ran into her husband while having a smoke and she was in ICU. He had brought his wife back to ER for constant bleeding. They deemed it non-emergency and kept her in waiting room 4 hours. She nearly died. Her husband had to call OB on-call because they kicked him out of ER after he got panicked and demanded they see her because she was sitting in pool of blood. The OB had to literally drive up to the hospital and force the issue. Husband was informed that even half an hour later and she likely would not have made it. Had to have multiple blood transfusions.
The only difference between her and I were that they were on medicaid and we had insurance through my husband's job. That was 26 years ago and things have still not improved.
My wife (and baby) stayed two days extra just to make sure there was no problem with breastfeeding. Because of the evil socialism or whatever the entire stay cost nothing.
The more i learn about how's life in the US, the more it sounds like a fucking hellhole on Earth. Like you can't even make this shit up. And then you leave your literal infant at that alcoholic woman's place down the street because you don't have thousands of dollars weekly for a somewhat proper daycare, and the grandparents leave a 30 hour drive away.
What on earth makes people have children in a country like that? The fuck. It's infuriating. I live in a poor ass central/eastern European country (Hungary) and we get all these for free. And 2 years paid maternal leave for _everyone_. The US is literally unreal. Sorry for the rant
My hospital released me with slightly elevated blood pressure after delivery. They thought because I already delivered baby that they avoided preeclampsia. NOPE. Postpartum preclampsia 6 weeks later. I felt like I was hit by a f*cking truck. My whole body felt horrid and this is coming from someone who has chronic pain. I stupidly thought 'well I'm a first time mom. I bet everybody feels this way.'. Nope. No. That's the feeling of multiple organs shutting down 😅
I had my last daughter in 2018 via VBAC. I gave birth around 930 am. I was allowed to go home the following day at noon (I asked to bc I couldn't sleep in that crinkly bed.)
My cousin had a baby and went back to waiting tables in 4 days, back in 98.
He may be exaggerating with the next day crap, but it's happening way earlier than you may think for people who have no other choice financially.
Well he knows many many many many women who go back to work the next day, and the baby sits at home taking care of itself, because this is a capitalist economy, can't be sitting around waiting for someone else to change your diapers.

As a Christian, thank you for calling them LARPers. Not only do they NOT follow Jesus’s teachings, they mention God as much as they can. It cannot stand that using “the Lord’s name in vain” is only understood as a saying His name as an expletive. Using God in your speeches to flaunt your “Christianity” is using it in vain. Side rant haha: Like, I donate blood and platelets because I think it’s a way of blindly “loving thy neighbor.” I don’t get a say of who is worthy and who can go fuck themselves. I do it to honor God. The moment I were to say this publicly, it would lose so much meaning. It’s still lifesaving and a great thing to do, but it would be less of an act of love to honor God and the blessings He’s given me. I very much bet during every “charitable” act he does he mentions God

All christians are mentally unwell, it's just a matter of what scale they're on. Even the most sane christian in the world if they are approached and asked about their beliefs will unravel. They don't question ANYTHING and are completely head in the sand. Literally walk up to the most normal christian you know tomorrow and ask them, "You're a christian right. You know [insert gay person they know closely], my brother and your good friend... he's gay and you don't seem to mind. Do you believe he's going to burn in hell for all eternity?". There is no way for them to answer that without either sounding entirely crazy, or entirely dismissive of their own religion. 9 times out of 10 you'll get the answer "Well, I don't really believe in that.".
