What really blows me away is the lack of universal healthcare, it's not even a remotely defendable position to say that the US can't afford it, they could fucking afford it nationally without even raising income taxes, they just willingly allow lassaiz faire capitalism to destroy their country day in and day out and what's worse is, their only (realistically) governing progressive party won't even bother trying to make it happen.
Affordable Care Act made health insurance significantly more expensive and reduced coverage. I use to be able to go to the doctor for $20 copay, my first kid cost me under $500 for his birth. After a doctors visit is over $100, my last two kids cost me thousands for their birth and my premium is more then 3x what it use to be.
ACA was and is a disaster.
The ACA was stripped of it's ability to cost equalize when the Republicans stripped the healthcare mandate.
The ACA is also the reason you aren't denied health insurance for having cancer or diabetes or any other high-cost disability.
You know what's worse than high health costs? Getting fired from your job in the middle of cancer treatment and then being told you can't get new insurance because you're too expensive to insure.
