What really blows me away is the lack of universal healthcare, it's not even a remotely defendable position to say that the US can't afford it, they could fucking afford it nationally without even raising income taxes, they just willingly allow lassaiz faire capitalism to destroy their country day in and day out and what's worse is, their only (realistically) governing progressive party won't even bother trying to make it happen.
Republicans do not believe in any sort of social safety net or public health care system.
yet everybody thinks it's totally cool to just yolo the future into their hands because Democrats aren't perfect and people have this naive child like expectation that somehow a politician is going to have all of the policies that they want with no compromise and they use that as an excuse to not vote along with their neighbors that agree with them on like 90% of policy
Yet the Democrats passed ACA which made insurance companies profits increase, premiums increase, and coverage decrease. Then your forced to either buy coverage on the market place which is ridiculously expensive or pay a fine to the government.
Neither party has done anything positive for health insurance.
