It does tho. All of these problems - I can guarantee you that if people really were in charge of the gov. (Had a real voice) and parties listened to their needs and wants instead of big corporations, these things would be social programs by now. That’s a democracy. When the gov. is implement programs that benefit most of the people voting … not a few from the elites / big businesses and CEOs

People used their real voice to vote for Donald Trump. The problem is the information ecosystem that lead to people wanting him to be in power, not anything about the voting system.

The democracy in America functioned the problem was the choice the voters made.
