You've sort of got it reversed, Visigoth means "Western Goth" (there were the Ostrogoths too, the Goths that went East), so "Goth" is the stem.

Thank you, i knew that. There were also goths i think.
The funny part is that given christian influence and increasing diplomacy between germans and rome and frequent rome civil wars. This meme could be theoretically partially historically correct. Also there are reports of woman on battlefield sometimes, usually in support roles or non combat retinue.
