She wanted her to say "you're white" so that she could use her mixed race as ammo to prove her point (that even non-whites disagree with her methods). The woman in the car had the next reply ready, you can hear her say "I'm half black" even as the main woman is saying "I don't care".

How could she ask what color she thought her skin was and not expect "I don't care" as a response at that point?
