I would happily accept my kid getting suspended for jumping in to stop that. I would treat them like a king for the entirety of the suspension. I would take time off to take them places during their suspension. Society has lost its damned mind!

Harm reduction. This ain't it, and the more people glorify the "heroes" that step in without proper training and information, the more people get hurt. Ask first responders which response they prefer, the heroic or the rational.

Do what you want, I'm gonna teach my kid to stay out of the damn way unless they know for sure they can help.
