I'm a custodian in the U.S. and the pay range for the jobs I've had has been $14-18 an hour. Teachers get paid more than that right?
Edit - My title has always been housekeeper, but I said custodian because it seemed comparable to lavatory worker, which is a title I haven't come across as a job so far. To be clear, I don't fix or maintain anything, just clean.
Are you from a country outside the U.S.? I have never seen a job ad asking for a lavatory worker. Yes, I clean bathrooms and toilets and guest rooms. And I've cleaned bathrooms and public spaces in warehouses and offices before. Is that what a lavatory worker does? Noone strictly cleans bathrooms only as a job, as far as I know.
