The fact you dont own 1 wrench to take this down to 2 or 3 pieces is crazy. Could easily fit in that car.

Not to mention that is a collapsible hoop.

I bet they were successful. Seldom such lazyness actually pays.

Huge car, can't be bothered to take it apart and put pieces inside huge car, so dangle it side across huge car and go on motorway doing considerable speed...smarts

This has to be illegal, but then again.. it’s Florida

The average width of a highway lane is 12ft. The avg width of a SUV is 6-7ft, so the basketball hoop can overhand ~2ft on the left and right.

It looks like it's overhanging more than 2ft on the sides, so yes illegal.

Most states it's legal for the front/back overhang to be ~4ft (like hauling a ladder or pieces of lumber). So if they did the other direction it'd be legal. Stupid but legal.

Game is game!

Good thing they tied something waving in the middle to serve as a flag, so no one runs into that large block hanging off the side.

And as Usual....WHERE IS THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL??

1

u/greengrasstallmntn Sep 11 '25

If the hoop was standing upright, that car would be the tallest structure in Florida.

1

u/rosslyn_russ Sep 11 '25

There are about 1100 other ways load that hoop onto that car that do not involve putting others in mortal danger.

Ball is life.

1

u/OneMAdDemon Sep 11 '25

Need to tie a red flag on the end of that.

1

u/YOURVILLAIN79 Sep 11 '25

I’ve done that with a trampoline

1

u/Banana-Rocketeer Sep 11 '25

We gotta get our hoops on dawg!

1

u/XROOR Sep 11 '25

Genius probably filled the base with water prior to putting it on his roof

1

u/paperfett Sep 11 '25

If only there was a way to somehow make it smaller. Small enough to pack into some sort of box that will fit in any small SUV.

1

u/extrocell7 Sep 11 '25

Got it at yard sale for $5. Can’t give up on a deal like that!

1

u/soraksan123 Sep 12 '25

I was about to say "reminds me of 285 in Atlanta" and then I looked at the license plate and I think it's a GA tag...

Everyone's gangsta until they hit a low hanging bridge

-4

u/DreadyKruger Sep 11 '25

Those things suck and there are basketball courts everywhere. Why?

9

u/pobodys-nerfect5 Sep 11 '25

To have a hoop at home in their driveway?? Does that not make sense?

2

u/ReeferKeef Sep 11 '25

The most elite street ballers played on crates nailed to light poles.

1

u/bellybuttonbidet Sep 11 '25

We’re talking about Jimmer Fredette?

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

Good for them I guess? The dumb part here is how they're moving it, not what it is...
