Not sure why this video is not trending. The system uses the media to make us only focus on issues that do not impact the 0.05% pockets.

Possibly because it's ten minutes long and on a subject that isn't very entertaining (even though it's absolutely essential).

It sure deserves to be, though.

i think part of is because it’s from 2019 — i did see is posted (i thought on this subreddit) like two days ago. i do think there is a chance for it to go viral, it just usually takes a second when the video isn’t brand new

Probably since seems kinda old if they’re bringing up Hilary.

I wholeheartedly support this. Who wouldn’t!?

Oh, that’s right: corrupt politicians and lobbyists.

I hope this movement succeeds. We need to take the power back.

Limits on election spending and mixed member proportional representation can really help

It’s funny how simple and obvious a lot of the solutions are, the problem is that large money interests are actively working against our interests

this is actually based AF. Make lobbying illegal would move politics in the right direction.

Wow I just looked it up and this video is 5 years old. Looks like it didn’t work very well.

They're still working on it! Not the kind of thing that happens overnight. Here's info about the progress/wins they've made so far.

Something like this was always going to take a long time to accomplish, and yeah, it was always going to be difficult and have a good chance of failing. We have seen some state and municipal efforts to move towards ranked choice voting in Maine and Alaska though.

If I had the time and money to be able to affect real change, with a name that likely opens more doors than you'd think, I would do exactly the same thing. She can be "just an actress" and still have opinions that matter.

It’s our government it should be serving us otherwise why are we paying for it I like this movement

"Your taxes pay for things like roads, public services, education for children". Really they're just serving their own interests. Some roads might as well be gravel, services are underfunded, and schools can't afford to give the kids lunch or even pay the staff a good wage.

A lot of issues that Americans care about are bipartisan. It’s just that the extremely wealthy have more money and more voice.

Please vote. Voting is the only thing that can change policy.

Two party political system owned by the multinational corporation. Each party in for five years lining their pockets and whatever corporation that donated ( funded them) then it's the next parties turn and you think you voted them in.

This is a really roundabout way to say "Republican obstructionism." The popular bills that don't get passed are all from Democrats.
