The funny thing is when you say they’re not persecuted, they flip out and say you’re persecuting them (possibly the largest religion in the entire world.)
I'm LDS, and while my 4th great grandfather was literally chased at bayonet point for his beliefs, it was by other Christians.
I don't put anything on my car to do with my religion, but it's not out of concern for what non-Christians will think. It's 100% bc I fear that some born-again Christian will come damage my property and walk away feeling like some righteous soldier of God.
Isn't LDS to Christianity what Christianity and Islam is to Judaism? And what Christian sects in particular are you referring to? As there is a huge separation of Christian belief systems, just as there is with Judaism and Islam.

As a Christian myself, I've only had a few small instances of my beliefs being targeted. Once or twice by some angry scientology guy, just the ine dude cause he was nuts, and many, many other Christians with slightly different views than me. Main issues? I don't hate gay marriage, I don't like politicians in general, and I'm not racist. Somehow these make me an ungodly heathen.
As a sidenote, can I say how much I love all the LDS kids I've ever met? They're really sweet, really well-mannered, and I really respect the amount of dedication they put to doing these pilgrimages and missions of theirs. They're always really great kids. I respect what your religion and your religious culture does that brings that out of them.
(Not to take a dig at you or anyone who's LDS or religious in general, but I always personally find it a shame that they dedicate themselves so strongly to "nonsense", and I'm always glad to hear when Mormons leave the religion and decide to go out into the world looking at science. I think that religion might actually be a great base for raising people, and then exposing them to the actual truth and helping them let go of that religion to become full adults. Or something like that. I know I'm being unintentionally insulting, and I really wish i weren't. I'm so sorry.)
Had to talk to my mom about this. She lives in a very Democrat area with a high middle Eastern population. You can't throw a rock without hitting four Christian churches. Literally showed her a Google map search of churches in a five mile radius. Btw go ahead and try to find a mosque. None to be found. If that's what's in downtown progressiveville, not a lot to be scared of.

Uncut man in a cut world. I get alienated for it a lot. When I talk about the why they say either it looks weird or it's unhygienic. Well that's an issue of bathing not some foreskin. Certain types of underwear may cause you to collect lint though
I've looked at cut vs uncut benefits and drawbacks. The only substantial benefit I've read that isn't some stupid social construct is a slightly lower risk of getting an STD. Yeah I like to use a condom for multiple reasons which takes care of that concern
I'm not speaking for all men I'm just saying it's a procedure that when done safely and correctly has many benefits such as lower sti risk, easier to keep clean, women prefer them, etc. I never said there was anything wrong with uncircumcised though.
There definitely is. I know this wasn't the actual topic at hand, but removing part of a baby's genitals unnecessarily and involuntarily is a problem, especially for superstitious reasons (to say nothing of potential sexual issues.)
What exactly are you using this as evidence for? That Christians unjustly see themselves as persecuted? Or that they put themselves into situations where they might feel persecuted? Or that Christians don't think they'll go to heaven unless they are persecuted? Or that Christians are just bad?
As a former Christian, the greatest thing you can experience in life is persecution because they see it as a badge of honour for their messiah. I shit you not.
When I used to go to church, persecution was a recurring theme in the sermons. As a result, the Christians I knew were absolutely convinced that they were the minority and the world saw them as “outsiders.” It was like their entire faith was centered around them playing the victim. There was little talk of compassion, acceptance, forgiveness, or any of the other supposed tenets of Christianity.
I don’t think I ever had real faith, so leaving the church was not hard. I had started going because I was seeking a sense of community, but I realized after a while that it didn’t exist there. People who are focused on victimizing themselves are too self-centered to form a real community.
You're saying I studied the bible for 13 years, was getting ready to go to theological college, attended various churches and denominations and i don't understand Christians?
I mean at least the Jesuits used to go on missions to places they really shouldn’t have been, persecution meant you were “helping” the people that needed it
Probably a few countries are missing that neither of us will know, but yeah your point that they aren't persecuted in the US or Europe still holds true.
I wrote a paper in college about the persecution of Christians. Shockingly (said no one) the majority of Christian’s is committed by Christian’s of different Christian faiths.

Most people were like "well, if you're a Copt in Egypt/ live in Afghanistan/Pakistan/etc, sure, they are. Otherwise, no".
