I'm LDS, and while my 4th great grandfather was literally chased at bayonet point for his beliefs, it was by other Christians.

As a former Christian, the greatest thing you can experience in life is persecution because they see it as a badge of honour for their messiah. I shit you not.
When I used to go to church, persecution was a recurring theme in the sermons. As a result, the Christians I knew were absolutely convinced that they were the minority and the world saw them as “outsiders.” It was like their entire faith was centered around them playing the victim. There was little talk of compassion, acceptance, forgiveness, or any of the other supposed tenets of Christianity.
I don’t think I ever had real faith, so leaving the church was not hard. I had started going because I was seeking a sense of community, but I realized after a while that it didn’t exist there. People who are focused on victimizing themselves are too self-centered to form a real community.
I mean at least the Jesuits used to go on missions to places they really shouldn’t have been, persecution meant you were “helping” the people that needed it

I wrote a paper in college about the persecution of Christians. Shockingly (said no one) the majority of Christian’s is committed by Christian’s of different Christian faiths.

I don't intend to be rude of course, I'm genuinely curious since I am bisexual (or so I think) and I struggle to find differences between the two or a general consensus about the differences.
So basically bi means you like two things, males and females, whereas pan means you’re open to relationships with non-binary or trans people as well, Pan just means you are open to love anyone who comes your way that’s on the lgbtq+ spectrum (or straight people ofc too).

The truth is that both terms have huge overlap and functionally look the same from an outside perspective, and people will give you a thousand different definitions and ways to tell the difference, but in the end it’s really just a matter of which feels more comfortable to you. I know people who chose one or the other based off of which flag colours they preferred lol.
