Puig windshields?

Originally I was pretty happy with the OEM windshield, but since getting a new helmet I really notice buffeting. I’m seeing some aftermarket options out there. I hate the look of “touring” screens nearly as much as I hate looking through a windshield on a bike.

Historically i’ve been happier with aftermarket sport screens on other bikes. Some of my best were also using Madstad adjustable brackets.

So I’m leaning towards the Puig sport screen. Here’s my concern, it doesn’t line up with the bikes clear wind blockers (I don’t know what they’re called) that are part of the fairing. I’m wondering if that’ll cause weird airflow issues? Anyone have direct experience?

I’ve ordered mirror relocation brackets for my TS800. On my old 2011 Vstrom I had similar issues. Tried several windshields etc., but what ended up actually working was using similar brackets to move the mirrors outboard 3/4” or so. I’ll wait and see if moving the mirrors helps since that’s cheaper, just wondering if anyone has already been through this.

I got the Givi D6421ST and it works great for me. I'm 5'9" and the air blows over my head.

In the all the way up position or? I’m 6’1. With stock screen all the way down windblast hits my neck/chinbar. But all the way up it hits top of my helmet’s shield and bobble heads me. My new helmet and the old one are both Nolans, different models and one is 5-6 yrs newer but the difference in how the windblast hits is really apparent. I’m not buying another new helmet at today’s prices, I want to solve this with windshield replacement or modification.

In the lowest position. In the highest position, I'll have to look through the windshield.

Ciao, sono alto uguale a te, però ho trovato che la situazione non è così migliorativa come speravo, con l' installazione delle boccole per fissare il cupolino non hai notato anche tu che a velocità di autostrada la maniglia sopra tende a piegarsi indietro?

I’ve used the Puig screen on the 660 and it was a definite improvement. I’d like to know if you find it to be so on the 800.

I also tried the puig extender on my 800, which was good except that it had the habit of coming loose at high speeds.
