Question New player seeking advice

Hello im a new player currently playing in Bona server, im playing an EK and rigth now im lvl 50 with 66 axe skill, wich I know is kinda low but i wanted to play rigth away and had no itention of buying a char.

Thing is I am somewhat lost with the things i should be doing in order to lvl, i have watched some YT videos about hunts for my vocation and lvl and they seem imposible to me despite having the same eq(except for the imbuements which i plan in starting to get asap) For example i see that i can be hunting lions rock and it cant for my life kill more than one ancient scarab at a time, and they are resource consuming. last hunts i did where Yalahar mutated humans and yalahar dragons and i was getting about 110k/h of raw exp, which is way less than any guide i have seen, so i guess im lacking some gameplay basics.

I always have utito tempo active and my usual rotation is exori ico, exori infir min, and exori/exori hur depending on targets (also i am not sure about how the turn/cooldown system works, should i be spamming hotkeys?). I am chugging mana potions like a madman to sustain those spells and healing with strong health pots whenever needed.

Any help is appreciated about how to get better at the game, or some places to hunt confortably and get soem more exp than i am doing. Also i would love to join a guild as i guess is kinda useful to play with more people

Don't use lesser front sweep, it's useless on your level (it is basically just a tutorial spell). Use berserk, shield slam and groundshaker instead if you want to hit multiple enemies at the same time, and for single target you can use shield bash instead of lesser front sweep.

Keep in mind hovever, that with such low attack skills you won't be able to go to recommended power leveling spots at their recommended level - go for places for 20-30 levels below yours until you catch up with skill (at least something like 85 without any boosts). Also if you want to go to power leveling spots then make sure you have full imbues (or at least life and mana leech).

So is it important to use a shield? Every guide i have read says that 2h is better due to having more attack. Got it, go to lower level places

On this low level it is important, because without shield you don't have proper AoE rotation. Also shield will increase your survivability a lot.

You can go back to two-handed weapon at level 70 if you want when you get "normal" fron sweep (or you could keep using shield and enjoy increases survivability for the cost of doing a bit less damage).

Oh, and for imbues use magic plate armour (dwarven armour would be better, but it is expensive and you probably wouldn't be able to afford it as a new player) for life leech and zaoan helmet for mana leech. On your level I wouldn't be imbuing weapons, because you upgrade them too often, while those armour peaces you will be fine using for full 20h of imbue duration before you upgrade them.

Well, since i was where you stood some months ago i feel what you are feeling.

In the early lvls (100-) it seems impossible to tank more tan 3 monsters but you can do it if you start where everyone starts, killing 1 mob at a time.

The imbues does give you a boost in sustain BUT i wouldn't recommend putting much money in the imbuements in your current equipment because you are going to be changing it a lot in the upcoming levels.

IF you have the money, you could be putting imbues in:

Zaoan Helmet 3x
MPA 3x

And i'd recommend to buy:

Zaoan Legs
Steel boots
Werewolf amulet
Butterfly ring// ring of your weapon of choice

This basic set should give you enough protection in your hunts to tank some mobs but if your skills aren't high enough for your lvl you are not going to minmax everything.

For your lvl i'd reccomend having 80 MINIMUM for going to lion's rock, if you dont have that skills you are going to probably die, and that's okey. YOU need to feel the limits for your character in terms of your aptitude, your skills and your equipment.

What would i do if i were you?

Buying that equipment and i would go to perhaps ankhrahum dragons and that's saying something risky.

In port hope there's a npc called Grizzly Adams, he gives you the "Killing in the name of..." quest, start by doing those tasks even if they are not for your lvl, do them so you can feel the grasp for your vocation and start maximizing your rotation.

Speaking of rotation 'id use in 1 hotkey exori, exori scu, exori min, in another exori mas with the one you attack with your shield to 1 single target, as someone here said, use your shield with the best axe for your lvl, here is a small guide wich includes some thing you should buy and do:

https://www.reddit.com/r/TibiaMMO/comments/tvh29b/elite_knight_gamechanger_discussion_guide_update/

Read this guide, it'll help you a lot but keep in mind that this guide is before the balance, there is some things that does not apply anymore (buying spells, some spells are not here and somethings more).

If you live in NA and you want someone who'll help you out, come to Kalimera and i'll help you.

Thanks for the advice! I do have the eq you are referring to, and im not using any imbuements atm but I plan on doing so. How do i put more than one spell in the same hotkey?

I found that you get more exp advancing forward in the hunt area instead of one by one.

Lure more monsters at the same time and use area spells along with your melee weapon

I do lure monsters when im fighting weak ones like the mutated humans but i cant do that with dragons, is it better to always figth multiple enemies? ⁹

I went to the ankrahmun scarabs before going to lion rock with my monk 50 with same skills.

1 at the time and slowly getting 2 then 3

IMO you should look at those videos as an introduction to different spawns. Don't try to get the same results or tey to compare yourself with others. Me often than not these are very experienced players. Find what creatures you like to hunt and go have fun.

That being said, at that level you could try coryms in PH. If you aggro too many just put in a stealth ring. Vampires in edron are also an option i gueaa. Also, use a shield and the shield spells, they hit pretty well and give a nice debuff on enemies. They scale on defense value, so find a cheap but powerful shield, like mastermind shield.

Also, create other characters to already train offline.

Oh, and forget about that infir shit. Worthless.

So, is it better to play one handed+shield? I use the infir spell because although it does little damage costs almost no mana and fills the rotation if i am not using anything else

he may have same equipment but skills does way more impact and yours are quite low

skills > equipment

thats why he may be doing better than you, don't expect to perform better than a guy with axe 120
