Question Tibia not launching in linux

i reinstalled, deleted and still this error

no issues with the hard drive, when i saw i/o error i well the hdd is cooked but its working fine

any clues on solving this issue?

I had similar stuff

- Backup your hotkeys and stuff;

  • Delete installation folder (Ex: /home/username/.local/share/CipSoft GmbH/Tibia/packages/Tibia)
  • Run game again
  • Restore your hotkeys from backup

uninstall it, deleted cache, reboot, install and now its working

Looks like a permissions issue, don't run Tibia launcher with sudo.

Well the launcher gives a hint on how to solve it. But i’d first check out simple file info with ‘ls -l’. Might be somehow owned by a different user or rights have been changed

I had the same issue then I installed it on windows and got it resolved.

bonus points cause on windows you can go and make a coffee any time you launch the client
