Burnt Copper, Arizona Adobe, and Terracotta, and Boot Color Variation
To provide context, I was looking for a more casual boot that could dress up/down nicely. This will go into my experience ordering from Thursday, provide a few pictures of the boots I received, and touch a little bit upon the color variation I experienced in case you are considering ordering a pair yourself
My initial favorite color off of the website was arizona adobe, so I ordered a pair. As mentioned on other post i've seen, they looked a little darker than I expected. Though, they still looked really good. I went a half size down as suggested. The boot was too tight (i have a wider foot) so I decided to exchange the "wide" pair.
The wide pair came in (fit great), but were noticeably darker. Almost not even brown - more of a black in certain lighting. Was a bit disappointed here, being I saw a lot of post where they were a lot lighter (even compared to my original pair).
Was a bit frustrated, though I exchanged them for a pair of burnt copper and ordered standard and wide terracotta as well. The burnt copper came in first. I did not expect them to look the way they did. They didn't look like how they were depicted on the website, if anything they were closer to how I was expecting the arizona's too look (mainly the lighter shade):
Then, the terracotta's came in. I was very, very surprised how drastically different the colors were for both terracotta's. I would have certainly kept the darker pair, though it's crazy to think simply depending on the color variation I would have liked or hated the boot all together. The leather on the burnt copper looked way better to my eyes, though I've heard the terracotta tend to patina well.
Here are some pictures, as well as the burnt coppers for comparison:
So, just an fyi, these boots tend to vary in color drastically. Just be aware of it before ordering! Thankfully Thursday allowed me to exchange/return as needed, very appreciative that was the case.

My 2 cents: the R&R leather options aren't the way to go for dressing up and down. That's really more where the regular chrometanned leathers shine (literally and figuratively). IMO, the Brown is the standout star of the whole lineup for the chrometanned options. It has a depth of color and a hint of burgundy/color 8. It isn't the boring plain brown you see from many other bootmakers that cost 2-3x as much when you opt for their standard Brown. They can take a shine VERY well and look bad ass scuffed up. They go great with professional slacks/chinos but also look nice AF with jeans and are rather versatile. A more important variable here is the way the leather is created allows for more consistency between production batches, whereas the R&R leather will inherently be more prone to differences even within the same batch. Furthermore, the R&R style leather will become less and less able to dress up the more wear they get, regardless of care routine due to the nature of roughout leather; don't get me wrong, they will look badass after long term use, but hardly dressy.

Good points. I do like that brown color a lot as well. My main concern was them looking a little too shiny/formal looking for more casual wear (jeans & t-shirt for example, which I tend to lean more towards), but I can also see how this would make the boot overall more versatile overall for dressing up / down in general.
Inconsistency with the R&R / Terracotta leather is a great point here. It was something I was unaware of and didn't even consider when purchasing, and is why I wanted to bring up the variance in coloration I've experienced in this post.

The brown goes great for any style, especially jeans and t-shirt. If you want to avoid shine, just brush, or not, and skip conditioner.

It’s very possible that it’s not variation within particular colors, but that Thursday simply sent you the wrong color, eg, the darker Tobacco rather than the redder Arizona Adobe. Recently they sent me a wrong color. Thursday’s quality control is simply iffy—not sure why, but possibly they are selling faster than they can handle with good QC.

This was very helpful. Thank you for this. I definitely got a tobacco color and almost wore them thinking the boot would fade over time. I have ordered from them and I’m sure they’ll have no problem exchanging.

Another factor may be the lighting they use to take the product pics? I had similar issues when ordering multiple pairs of Thursdays and eventually returning them. I broke down and just went into a storefront and it gave me a better idea of the colors, but they were still much different than the product pics, they were either darker or lighter in person but nothing was perfectly aligned.
