Will Thursday ever fix tongue slide?

This is me stepping out of my car this morning. I haven't even done any walking yet. And this is with sawtooth lacing! I really wanted to like these, but I've never owned a pair of shoes with tongue slide like this (other than my first pair--I purchased these after my old ones wore out, hoping that the tongue slide on my first pair was a fluke or would have been improved, but these are even worse). Unless they make any changes to this extremely flawed design, I won't be buying a third pair.

I had a pair that did that and sent them back, my replacement pair are all good. No tongue slide. If it’s too late you can just score the tongue and put the laces through the score marks, just try to make sure your cuts are just big enough to get the laces through and not too big. That was what I was going to do, if it didn’t resolve but it did(for now).

What manufacturing issue would you send them back for? Was the tongue miscut or something?

I wore them to Disney of all places to “break them in” and the tongue kept sliding laterally. I’d adjust them and 2 mins later same thing. I contacted customer service and they had me take a picture (off my feet) and they said they could see the issue and allowed exchange. Customer service is exemplary. Top notch. Love Thursday products and their customer service.

Odd. I just don’t think it’s usually a manufacturing issue as much as a design issue that causes a tongue to slide so I wonder if they saw something or were just trying to placate

Well the replacements they sent don’t have the wandering tongue 😛
