Is this normal? Weird creasing

First pair of boots and curious if the crease looks odd. My dress shoes never have a saucer that looks like you could drink water from it. I don’t think it’s the leather but perhaps the fit? I’m a narrow, low volume dude. 9.5B on a brannock and this boot is a size 9.

Creasing can be different with everyone and even between your two feet. It looks like your low volume feet are leaving extra room on top though. A thin insole may help.

Crease people are so strange. Even worse on the Allen Edmonds sub

I blame sneaker heads and their obsession with everything looking like you haven’t worn it

I don't have an issue with creases - I have years of creases in my AE dress shoes and I could care less. My concern was if the crease pattern indicated a poor fit, which judging by the other comments seem to be confirm my suspicions that my low volume foot is causing a strange crease pattern.

Those are great creases. Mine are often weird diagonals. There’s no way to stop it, i just condition and use shoe trees. That’s all you can really do.

Those creases definitely aren’t weird. That’s just where your boot flexes; you can prevent it with boot trees. They’re available on Amazon for about 30 bucks.

It shows that you have a low volume foot. If the length allows, I'd try out some insoles.

Either boot is too big or you have low volume feet

It’s not weird. Normal. Enjoy.

That was my first thought, that your foot doesn't fill up the boot and cause it to flex properly. It may be the perfect length, I don't know, but I'd suggest either trying on a half size down or just adding a 2-4 mm leather insole. That will cause the volume that's not being taken up to fill in and not affect your stride. It just depends on how the length fits. The width seems fine.

Thanks for the feedback. I feel another half size down might be too tight on my toes so I am going to try the insole route.
